STRUCTURED CABLING
Understand the cable categories before choosing the wiring for your DFW home or business.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH
• Review of current and future network needs
• Comparison of Cat6 and Cat6A
• Explanation of Cat7 marketing and connector systems
• Cable and component selection for the project
Category 7 is an ISO/IEC category and is not recognized by TIA. A retail cable marked Cat7 should not be treated as proof of a Category 7 installed channel. We assess the actual cable, connectors and installation requirements.
Discuss the rooms, everyday activities and devices involved. We review cable access, equipment placement and how you want to use the finished setup.
Share the floor plan, work areas, equipment count and access schedule. We coordinate the agreed connections with the way staff and visitors use the space.
EQUIPMENT OPTIONS
Category 6 · Category 6A · ISO/IEC Category 7 systems
Model selection and compatibility are reviewed against the actual project. Tell us what you own and what you would like to keep.

A PRACTICAL QUESTION
No. The correct system depends on the application, connectors, installation environment and the equipment at each end. Cat6A is a common consideration for 10GBASE-T copper links in North American projects.
Your DFW city, property type, floor plan or room description, equipment list and a short explanation of the problem or improvement. Mention new construction, renovation or an occupied property so access can be considered.
CABLING THAT FITS THE PROJECT
A common choice for many home and business Ethernet links. The intended speed, run length and installation conditions guide the decision.
Considered when the project calls for a 10GBASE-T-capable copper link. Cable, connectors, equipment and installation need to work as a system.
An ISO/IEC category not recognized by TIA. A retail Cat7 label does not establish the performance of a complete installed channel.
We also review shielding, solid-copper conductors, the cable’s environmental rating, termination components and pathway access. Fiber is considered where it better fits the link.
